Another symbol of Milan is the Sforza Castle, built in the middle of the 15th Century for Francesco Sforza. This sumptuous fortified palace houses several Milanese museums and temporary exhibitions and also contains Michelangelo's last work, the Rondanini Pietà. The castle is surrounded by the semicircular Bonaparte Forum and by the large Sempione park.
